Description: 1st century AD. A mould-blown iridescent glass jar with dimple base and panel texture to the body, restricted aperture, trumpet-shaped neck and rolled rim. Cf. Whitehouse, D. Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass, vol.2, New York, 2001, item 506 for type. 43 grams, 79mm (3 1/4"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1990s.
