Description: 1st-3rd century AD. A silver cochlareum spoon with round-section balustered shank, swan-neck junction to shallow ovoid bowl, spike finial to handle. See Welch, C. Catalogue of the Collection of Antiquities in the Guildhall Museum, London, 1903, plate XXI. 21 grams, 14.5cm (5 3/4"). From a private collection; formed 1965-1975.
