Description: Romeyn de Hooghe engraving of William III. (Netherlands, 1645-1708). Tot Hier Toe Heeft De Heere Ons Geholpen: Orangien Wonderspiegel Vertoonende Willem Hendrick de III Prince van Orangie Engraving. Lower margin: uytgegeven tot Amsterdam by Romeyn de Hooghe. [C. mid-1670s: The vignette at lower right shows an event in 1672: William being created Stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland, and Overijseel, the Dutch monarch. He became King William III of England in the Glorious Revolution, by raising infantry, cavalry, and naval forces and landing in England in late 1688. None of the vignettes relates to the Glorious Revolution.] 17 1/2 x 21 3/4 in. Tear affecting text below the lower left engraving. Stain mostly to upper left. Matted, under glass.
