Marie-Rosalie Bonheur, France, 1822-1899. Animaliere, Realism painting in pale shades depicting a country landscape, with three Clydesdales pulling a hay wagon along a country road, attended by peasants set against a vast pastoral landscaped, titled “Summer Hayride”. This equals her famous piece exhibited at the Salon of 1853, depicting a team of oxen plowing a field titled “The Horse Fair”, and is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City.
