Description: Royal Naval Captains Full Dress Cap, Epaulettes and Undress Sword Belt, the set is all housed in the original japanned metal storage tin with painted details of the original owner to the lid, ÂA.B. WEBB RNÂ. The cocked hat of beaver skin covered body with fine gilt bullion wire decoration and single gilt RN button, each end with bullion wire tassels. Interior of the cap is in mint condition, retaining the original white leather sweatband and silk lining with J Baker & Co, Portsmouth retailers details. Bullion officers dress epaulettes with single bullion kings crown (Anchors missing) and wire tassels. Mint condition leather backed officers undress sword belt with three rows of bullion wire decoration, gilt metal kings crown belt buckle which retains all of the original gilt wash finish and the two piece sword hangers. Lining to the inside of the transit box is in excellent condition as is the exterior of the tin, showing just very minor scrapes from storage. The set appears to have been hardly ever worn.
