CATALOGUE NOTE

Among the novels here that were adapted for film treatment are Who Goes There?, the basis of John Carpenter's classic The Thing (1982) and R.E. Howard's Conan stories, filmed as Conan the Barbarian (with Arnold Schwarzenegger, 1982). Richard Fleischer's film Fantastic Voyage, apapted from a story by Jerome Bixby and starring Stephen Boyd and Raquel Welsh, appeared in 1966. The novel by Isaac Asimov--present in this lot--is a novelisation based on the film.
