Note:

Scheyer was well known for introducing the works of the Blue Four, which consisted of Kandinsky, Feininger, Jawlensky and Klee, to the United States in 1924. She housed a collection of the work by the Blue Four a t the Oakland Museum and it is known that the members of the Society of Six had access to the paintings, almost surely influencing the group.
