Details: This etching with aquatint by the noted Irish-American artist Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross dates from circa 1985 and is entitled "all we are and all we seem is but a dream within a dream." The title comes from a poem by Edgar Allan Poe.
The print is numbered 81/125, signed in pencil in the lower margin, and framed to approx. 23"x32".
Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross is a world renowned printmaker and sculptor whose work is in the permanent collections of such prestigious institutions as The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Smithsonian National Collection of Fine Art in Washington, D.C. and the Bibliothque Nationale in Paris. O'Donoghue/Ross's graphic works are often made with multiple copper plates and multiple techniques including etching, engraving, aquatint, mezzotint, and drypoint. He is an American and an Irish citizen, recognized as the hereditary chieftain of the Rapparee Sept of the O'Donoghues of Ross.
