Spectacular and rare PAUL EVANS sculpture-front buffet, 1977, with full-length slate top, riveted patchwork exterior, and four grid-form doors with a series of gilded and enameled elements, concealing a red and black interior. (Evans' Cranbrook education in jewelry design is evident in the geometric and abstract elements that provide the dramatic tension in this piece.
