Description: together with new hints on the formation of Vineyards in England, first edition , half-title, list of subscribers, 5 engraved plates including 3 folding, a few gatherings pulling or working loose, one page with closed tear (no loss) and another with repaired tear with minor loss to text, light spotting and occasional marginal creasing, but overall internally very good, original boards, worn and rubbed, rebacked with later paper, 4to, York, for the author, by G.Peacock , 1790. Provenance: John Hearle Tremayne (1780-1851), Cornish politician and gardener, second of four successive members of the Tremayne family who are credited with the creation of the gardens around Heligan House that are now well known as the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
