Starr Arms Co., New York, Patent. Jan. 10, 1856, 6 Shot 44 Cal. Walnut handle, stamped number on the cylinder of 1803 and matching number on the top of the trigger, pistol, Civil War era, most of the plated finish from the metal is gone, the handle does not appear to have been refinished.
