STERLING SILVER HORN SHAPED VINAIGRETTE.
England, ca. 1870s, attributed to S. Mordan. In the form of an Indian-style horn, with attached suspensory chain. The square lid lifts to reveal a silver gilt interior and pierced grill. The entire horn is extravagantly decorated with birds and foliate scroll work. The horn measures approx. 4.25" long and weighs 78 grams. Hallmarked with the "SM" mark and the marks for London. Weight 76gr.
Overall condition is very good, hinges are tight, lid closes securely. No visible defects detected.
