Description: Neolithic, 4th-3rd millennium BC. A knapped and polished flint axehead with rounded butt and straight edge; a portion of the the original weathered nodule surface remains visible. 163 grams, 94mm (3 3/4"). From a private collection; acquired in the 1980s. The weathered surface shows that the original flint nodule came from a dry climate, as the weathering is classic of desert wind erosion. [No Reserve]
