Description: Neolithic, 6th-2nd millennium BC. A pair of carefully knapped and polished axeheads with slightly convex cutting edges, near parallel squared sides and rounded butts, showing some use wear to edges; formed in a mottled grey flint. See Stenalder, Yngre Danske Oldsager, volume II, 1952, number 228, for a similar example. 350 grams total, 10-11.6cm (4 - 4 3/4"). Property of an Essex gentleman. [No Reserve, 2]
