IVORY OKIMONO OF A FISHERMAN
the fisherman shown in a dancing posture with one foot raised above the ground, carrying a basket, a bucket containing a crab and a turtle at his feet, signed
- Good overall appearance with minor chips to the extremities of the carving, for example to the tips of the legs of the crab
- The crab, now contained in the bucket, was once held by the right hand of the fisherman and then broke off
- Signs of discoloration as consistent with age
