LACQUER IVORY AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL TABLE SCREEN
the frame gilt with scrolling leaves and phoenix, the panel inlaid with ivory and mother-of-pearl with a monk and scholar conversing on a bridge beneath a pine tree, the lacquered background showing a mountainous view, the reverse with pagodas and moon lit sky
- Good overall condition
- Part of the inlaid right hand of the monk appears to have fallen out and is restuck to the panel
- There is a short crack to one corner of the wood frame
- Some signs of age
