Hebrew and English text, with 14 full-page and numerous smaller illustrations and decorations in color reproducing paintings by Szyk, printed on vellum./span 4to, 278x237 mm, original gilt-pictorial blue morocco with monochrome pictorial vellum doublures, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe after designs by Szyk; slight discoloration along edges of the free endleaves; publisher's 3/4 navy morocco folding case. London: Beaconsfield Press, (1939)

Notes: first szyk edition, the artist's best-known work and the most celebrated modern illustrated Haggadah. number 114 of 125 copies on vellum for sale in the British Empire, signed by szyk and roth. additionally inscribed and signed: "To Gertrude and Julius Kaufman very cordially Arthur Szyk New Canaan 1949."
