Description: Oil on canvas and mixed media painting entitled "The Horse in The Girl's Dream" by Hua Chen. This beautiful large scale piece features a horse and girl. The artist integrated fabric, magazine or book pages, and dried plants beautifully into the painting to give it additional texture and character. It has been professionally matted and framed and was sold by the Wentworth Gallery as designated on the back of the frame. Documents including proof of purchase are to be offered with the painting. Hua Chen is originally from Shanghai, China. He was born in 1952. Chen is well known for his paintings of female subjects that are rendered in a soft, exquisite, and fairy-like style. The artist, Hua Chen is deeply inspired by Western art and culture but his own Chinese heritage is still present in his works. He is well loved in America and abroad. He is also one of the artists that was selected to create pieces for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Including the frame, the dimensions are 53 inches wide by 43 inches high. Without the frame the dimensions are 39 inches wide by 29 inches high. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition.
