Book Details: This third volume of the Royal Geographical Society of London's journal covers events for the year 1833. Included are twenty-six articles of varying lengths on expeditions to most parts of the world: Azerbaijan, Guatemala, the Arctic, Gambia, Gulf of Arta, Falkland Islands, Mauritius, the Antarctic, India, Pitcairn Island, the Euphrates, Australia, and more.
Condition / Notes: This antique volume is bound in marbled paper-covered boards, brown leather corners, and a green pebbled cloth backstrip with the original leather title and volume labels bearing stamped gilt lettering affixed to the spine. There is moderate external rubbing and scuffing. The binding has been repaired internally with archival tape. Two armorial bookplates are affixed to the front pastedown. The pages show mild age toning and occasional light to moderate foxing. The work is profusely illustrated with nine fold-out maps, one full-page map, a fold-out view, and a full-page view.
