Description: Thomas Sidney Cooper (1803-1902)
pair of watercolours
Cattle and sheep and Cattle watering
signed and dated 1881
10 x 15.5in.

Condition Report: Cattle and sheep with slight outward bowing of the paper but looks very flat and may well be laid down, no doubt a little faded but still retaining good strength of colour, perhaps one or two tiny dirt specks but no sign of any foxing, tears or water damage, signed and dated lower left.
Cattle watering similar slight bulging to the paper, possibly a trace of acid staining showing through the sky but no other faults noted, signed and dated lower right, housed in gilt card mounts and probably original moulded gilt frames which now have a few chips and dents around the edges, typed details of the artist attached to the back of one of the pictures. Overall good condition.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
