Condition Report: Framed and matted. The two that are framed together each have two tape pieces at top edge verso affixed to undermat (with the receipt below also affixed to undermat with two tape pieces top edge verso affixed to undermat).

a. Chickens: with mostly large foxing spots as seen in catalogue photo. At very outer upper left corner sheet has a tiny fold; at parts of outer left edge of sheet there are some very small losses. Sheet has pale mount staining at three of the four edges, some smudges and some time staining. At upper right corner the number '1843' is both printed in black and inscribed by hand in blue color pencil. Verso of sheet has some foxing, smudges, toning around outer edges.

b. Lamb: with pale mount staining; also with foxing spots and tiny sheet losses at outer left edge. Some very slight time staining. At upper right corner the number '6' is hand written in pencil. Verso has toning at edges, smudged area and foxing at edge that corresponds to the aforementioned foxing.

c. Receipt: Outer right edge verso with old tape piece. Receipt with horizontal fold and three vertical folds, and stamped on verso: 'Autograph Collection of Dr. Max Thorek Chicago'

At bottom left edge, and to lesser degree at part of lower right edge, some (apparent) discolored glue residue (?) which is no longer tacky. Along small part of bottom edge of drawing some paper residue affixed to edge with old glue. Autograph portion of work, beneath the drawing, has light staining, discoloration, is on unevenly cut paper and has losses to part of sheet, mainly at top edge, upper right
