Payment Information: All accounts are to be settled by the end of the sale, with payment in US Dollar by cash, money order, traveler's check, Visa, Master Card, or personal check if you are a prior customer. All others using checks must obtain prior approval. Approval will be granted upon presentation of a "letter of guarantee" from an officer of your bank on original stationery. This letter should state an exact amount of funds guaranteed and should be presented to the cashier at time of registration. Ken Farmer Auctions & Appraisals, LLC reserves the right to hold all merchandise paid for by check until such check has cleared and receipt of funds is verified. There will be a $100.00 fee on all returned checks. Payment is due within ten days of the auction. Ken Farmer Auctions & Appraisals, LLC reserves the right to charge an additional 2% handling fee if bidders have not paid within 15 days of the auction date.
Shipping Information: Ken Farmer Auctions does not have a shipping department. If you are in need of a shipper in order to receive your purchases, we have compiled a list of shippers in our area. Feel free to contact them directly to obtain quotes for the packaging and delivery of your items, or make your own arrangements.
Purchased items must be picked up or arrangements made for shipping within two weeks of the auction. A fee of $5 per business day per item will be charged for items not removed within two weeks of the auction.

Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium is added to the cost of all lots purchased at auction. The buyer's premium for those bidding online is 21% of the successful high bid. The premium for bidding directly with the Auction Gallery, via phone, absentee or floor bid, is 18% (with an additional 2% if you pay with Visa or Mastercard).
Taxes on your purchase: Sales Tax: We must charge 5% VA sales tax on the sum of the hammer price plus buyer's premium if the buyer lives in Virginia or picks up in Virginia, unless he has a valid resale license and has completed the necessary Virginia certificate of exemption (available from Ken Farmer Auctions).
