Description: Tibetan handpainted thangka, probably late 18th or early 19th Century, decorated with a scene of King Gesar of Ling seated on a white horse (drala) with his right hand raised, surrounded by figures on horseback, various animals and a Buddhistic figure seated upon a lotus leaf above. Bearing a three character mark to the reverse. The panel is painted on silk and highlighted with gilt, within an embroidered silk mount, panel size 34.5cm x 47cm, total size 64cm x 103cm.
