Description: A TRIPTYCH Greek, circa 1800 Tempera on wood panel. The middle panel representing three Hierarchs, each standing frontally and holding a Book, all figures portrayed within individual frames shaped as niches divided by columns, the upper part carved with abundant foliage, vines and two dragon heads, including Christ in blessing. The wings showing the Mother of God, St. John the Forerunner and two equestrian figures facing each other, the popular Sts. George and Demetrios. Losses. 47.5 x 52 cm (extended). TRIPTYCHON Griechenland, um 1800 Eitempera auf Kreidegrund auf Holz, partielle Vergoldung. 47,5 x 52 cm (geöffnet). Im Mittelfeld stehend drei Kirchenväter in frontaler Ganzfigur, darüber thront Christus. Die Flügel zeigen die Gottesmutter und Johannes den Täufer sowie die Kriegerheiligen Georg und Demetrius.
