Description: First quarter of the 20th century, comprising a persimmon silk damask skirt embroidered with a stylized landscape with an exotic bird and sprigged with moths and flowers, edged in black silk (36"L. top of waistband to hem); together with a persimmon silk skirt embroidered with peonies, vases and moths, the other panels embroidered with sprigs of flowers and insects, lined in green. (38"L., top of waistband to hem). Condition: both with light to moderate wear, some light losses, light stains, embroidery in good condition.Provenance: From the Estate of Eloise and Waldemar Meckes, Jr.
