Live AuctionDescription: Two Digby Morton couture ball gowns and a coat, circa 1950-55, labelled, comprising; black and tan chevron-striped silk gown with integral corset; the other of apricot velvet with short pink/green and pink/apricot taffeta ruched panels to skirt; the coat of grey wool evening coat, the skirts cut-away at the front, busts approx 86cm, 34in, waists 56-61cm, 22-24in ; and a stylish Digby-Morton raspberry wool jersey day dress and matching jacket (5) Provenance: Lady Jarratt
Condition Report: Smell musty from having been stored in an attic for decades. Striped dress is good condition. Apricot dress - bad tears to bodice underarms, seam below zip needs restitching, grimey appearance. Coat - peppered with small moth holes. Red wool suit (just been added to lot) - rear skirt is peppered with small moth holes, hem has been taken up, bodice lining is torn and missing. Brown/black dress - good condition but lining/bodice soiled. Needs dry cleaning as does rest of lot. Nice shapes
