Notes: Nanne Schrader (1867-1939) was born in Kragero, Norway and married Thaddeus Schrader, a businessman with interests in South Africa. Prominent in London society, Mrs. Schrader gave musical concerts together with her two sisters and sponsered operatic events throughout Europe.
Please note, a lining covers the artist's inscription on the reverse: Lady Schrader Wiborg, 1903. The photo of this old inscription is attached to a cardboard backing.
