The left barrel flat is marked "US" and eagle head over P in small ovals following a horizontal "V" then vertical "V / O / t". The rifle has brass mountings and patchbox including a rare thumbplate on the top of the wrist. Brass side plate has a small hand done "L" in script. Steel ramrod with flared tip and threaded end. The stock is oil finished walnut half stock with small cheekrest on the left and patchbox on the right.
