Lot 164: U.S. Officer's civil war era Sash

Est: $300 USD - $500 USDSold:
Amoskeag Auction CoJanuary 12, 2013Manchester, NH, US

Item Overview

Description

This is a woven fabric sash measuring 11' x 4 3/4" and is in very nice shape with only some very minor fraying on the tassels below the acorn end knots. The remainder of the cloth is intact and the maroon-burgundy dye is still strong. There is some minor fraying along the top and bottom edges sparsely scattered along the sash's length. Overall a fine example of a Civil War officer's sash that would make a nice addition to a uniform or officer grouping. (35335-2)
