Description: Victorian silver christening mug, the body embossed with a scene of a girl playing with a hoop and dog and scroll surround cartouche with initial engraving, scrolling handle and raised above a circular footed base. Hallmarked John Angell II & George Angell London 1844. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 3.8 ozt (121 grams).

Condition: The mug shows general scratches, marks and tarnishing. There are some dents to the base and some areas with some loss in definition and detail. Personal engraving to the underside 'From Aunt Byres'. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but clear and legible.
