American, late 19th century, copper. Similar to one by L.W. Cushing, Waltham Massachusetts. Full-bodied leaping stag. Small size with good form and detail. Verdigris patina with worn gilt. 27"h., 30"l., on modern base.

Weathered patina with traces of original gilt and some over gilding. Darker area to gilding on inside rear leg appears to be just a discoloration. No visible signs of repair of re-soldering.
