Description: Early 1st millennium BC. A carved chlorite vessel with frieze of winged lions crouching, the heads modelled in the half-round; basal ring, notched rim; provincial Assyrian. 717 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Ex German collection; acquired 1980s.
