Description: Neo-Babylonian Empire, 626-539 BC. A shallow bronze bowl with chamfered rim, concentric bands of pointillé decoration including palmettes and advancing gryphons around a central rosette. 218 grams, 13.5cm (5 1/4"). From an important private London collection; formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
