Description: 2nd millennium BC. A tall ceramic jar or vase with basal ring, gently sloping shoulder, broad neck, chamfered everted rim, two strap handles; vertical painted leaf-shaped panels to the neck, rings to the shoulder. Cf. Amiran, R. Ancient Pottery of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, 1963, plate 72 item 5 for type. 1.1 kg, 26.5cm (10 1/2"). From a German collection; acquired on the German art market before 1990. [No Reserve]
