Description: 2nd millennium BC. A ceramic vessel with globular body, trumpet-shaped neck and everted rim, D-section strap handle, intersecting painted bands to the body and rings to the neck. Cf. Amiran, R. Ancient Pottery of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, 1963, plate 11, item 15 for type. 863 grams, 24cm (9 1/4"). From a German collection; acquired on the German art market before 1990.
