A terracotta biconical jar with narrow base, chamfered and everted rim, circumferential red painted bands to the neck and waist, series of hatched triangles to the shoulder. Cf. Amiran, R. Ancient Pottery of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, 1963, plate 75 for type. 1.5 kg, 22cm (8 3/4"). From a German collection; acquired on the German art market before 1990. [No Reserve]
