Description: 10th century BC. A bronze short sword with parallel-sided blade, square-section midrib developing to a low ridge, raised crescentic guard to each face, conical segmented pommel and ribbed grip. Cf. Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, T?bingen, 2006, fig.20. 927 grams, 62.5cm (24 1/2"). Ex German private collection, Cologne, 1980s.
