Description: 19th-early 20th century AD. A wooden case with suspension chain and two hinged doors, mirror to the interior, triangular pediment and scooped plaque above; bands of painted flowers and leaves to the borders, panels of yellow and green floral ornament, to the pediment and inner faces of the doors; panel of scrolled leaves and tendrils to the reverse; outer faces of the doors with scene of al fresco drinking and dining in a landscape, signed at the foot of each door. 1.1 kg, 50cm (19 3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired London art market, 1970-1980.
