Description: 1180-700 BC. A carved onyx(?) vessel from the Syro-Hittite States, formed as a D-shaped socket in the upper face of a block with bull-head detail to the forward edge and two lateral spoked wheels. 149 grams, 62mm (2 1/2"). Property of a North American gentleman; formerly in a German collection, acquired from M. Yeganeh, Frankfurt, prior to 1980.
