29 3/4in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrels with broad raised rib engraved ''WIGGAN & ELLIOTT MAKERS TO THE ROYAL FAMILY & THE PACHA OF EGYPT'', the breech end with fine gold-inlaid scroll detailing and ''ELLIOTTS PATENT.'' gold-inlaid in gothic script, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, Henry Elliott patent action, patent no.1782 of 16th June 1863, push-forward underlever, carved fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with high spurred hammers of hare''s-ear form, fine acanthus scroll engraving with feathered bordering, the top strap and action flats with Elliot patent details in an oval, brushed overall, the triggerguard retaining traces of renewed finish, 14in. stock including ridged horn buttplate, slender 10 1/4in. fore-end with ornately fluted horn finial, weight 5lb. 11oz., in a re-lined brass-mounted oak case
