Description: William Cullen Bryant.-- poet, (of “Thanatopsis,”) journalist, editor. He introduced Lincoln at his speech at Cooper Union. This is a strong standing portrait of Bryant in outdoor clothing. It is a wonderful example of actual objects set up on the studio floor to add to the “realism” of the backdrop (although the fine romantic backdrop is far from realistic.) By Charles Pollock, Boston.

Condition Report: Slightly light. [2+]
