Description: William Henry Chandler (American, 1854-1928), two pastels on paper depicting evening landscapes: the first showing dirt roadway leading up to a dimly-lit cottage under the full moon, signed LR, ss: 13 1/2" h. x 25 1/2" w.; and second with shack, both with some wave to paper, scratching and minor chipping to carved frames, both framed behind glass, neither examined out of frames. [Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art. PROVENANCE: Artwork formerly included in the NBMAA Study Collection.]
