Book Details: This early American magazine was produced by the Presbyterian General Assembly and edited by William Farrand, who was a Greek and Latin scholar and author of several Greek and Latin grammars and studies. This volume contains bound issues from January-December of 1805.
Condition / Notes: This antique volume is bound in full leather, with red spine label and gilt lettering and decoration to the spine. The volume displays external wear, with rubbing and scuffing to the covers, and vertical cracking to the spine edges. The binding is cracked at the hinges. Two bookplates are present to the front paste-down, as well as a previous owner's signature to the front flyleaf. The rear endpapers display soiling. Moisture markings and foxing are visible in the volume's interior. Each individual magazine bound into this compilation is adorned with an engraved frontispiece portrait.
