Description: serial #590539B, 38 WCF, 24" octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This rifle is in nice condition with the barrel and magazine retaining 80% evenly thinning original blue finish. The top flat of barrel between the proof and sight is stamped "GEO. PIPER" who was apparently a past owner of the rifle. The action retains about 50% original blue finish with silvery edges. The hammer retains strong original color case-hardened finish while the lever has faded and is more silvery gray. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with 20% original finish remaining but have a nice surface and nice appearance. The rifle is equipped with King beaded blade front and King sporting rear sights. The lever catch is missing from the lower tang. Overall a good solid 1873. (15556-23) {C&R}
