Looking for the realized and estimated price?

Description: serial #1249, 45-75, 28" octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a spectacular first model 1876 rifle. The barrel and magazine retain about 93% original blue finish with most loss due to light thinning and some areas of light oxidation near the muzzle. The frame retains 93% bright original blue finish with most loss being on the top tang which has turned to a smooth brown patina. Fire blue on loading gate is strong as is color case-hardened finish on the hammer and lever. The brass cartridge lifter bears a perfect Ð untouched patina. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with nearly all of their original finish and just a few light handling marks. The buttplate bears strong, vivid original color case-hardened finish. The rifle is equipped with its original single set trigger and standard sporting sights. This is clearly one of the very finest open top 1876 rifles remaining. A top shelf, investment quality 1876 rifle that would be right at home in the finest of collections. (15444-5) {ANTIQUE}
