Description: (WORLD WAR I.) Order of Battle on Western Front 11 A.M., Nov. 11. 1918. Large military map overprinted in black and red on base map "Carte de France à 1/600,000." 42 1/2x35 1/2 inches sheet size; shows signs of being folded, two small closed marginal tears, mounting tabs on verso. Secret Map Room, G-3. G.H.Q. Printed at Base Printing Plant, 29th Engineers U.S. Army, 1919

Notes: all quiet on the western front. Drawn up at the headquarters of General John J. Pershing, this map shows Allied and German force divisions arrayed in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, portions of Holland, Germany, and Switzerland at the moment of the war-ending Armistice. Thought to be one of 40 copies printed, this copy is unnumbered.
