Description: 18 January 1892 Shares of £1. blue. No 3774. Folds. The Yankee Girl mine, in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, was discovered in 1882, and was considered the "mother lode". It became the richest, most profitable, and famous mine in silver mining in the U.S. After it was discovered, people poured into this Red Mountain district, and itbecame a famous town. This company was founded in London, 1890 with a capital of £260,000 - to dig for silver around Red Mountain. Liquidated 1893-1897.
