Description: tem # 26. An Historical Document: size: 8 3/8" x 5 5/8"; glued onto a later paper. The Great Seal of Louisiana (green) on the left with printed and scripted text stating: "GIVEN UNDER MY HAND, and the Seal of the State at New Orleans, on the Thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two and in the year of the Independence of the United States of America the Fifty-sixth." Tho(mas) F. McCaleb appears to be the signatory as Secretary of State (for Louisiana. This document appears to be folded over and glued to the inside of another document: I don't know if the document can be unglued. It is being sold as an original Louisiana document from 1832.
