Analyticity of the Solutions of Implicit Function Problems with Analytic Data. WITH: Arc Structure of Singularities(139 views)
Description: FIRST PRINTING of Nash’s final papers on his embedding theorem. ?In 1966 the Annals of Mathematics published [Nash?s] paper ?Analyticity of Solutions on Implicit Function Problems with Analytic Data? in which he extended his previous work on the isometric imbedding theorem. During the same year he wrote another paper titled ?Arc Structure of Singularities? that remained unpublished until 1995, when the Duke Journal of Mathematics published it in a special issue dedicated to his lifetime of work? (Bradley, Mathematical Frontiers). Nash final work on embedding ?showed that his isometric embedding theorem, and more generally, the Nash-Moser implicit function machinery, can be extended to the real analytic case? (Harold W. Kuhn, Duke Mathematical Journal). IN: Annals of Mathematics, Second Series, Vol 84, No 2, pp. 345-355. Princeton. NJ: Princeton University Press, 1966. (September).
