Antique English Creamware Shell- form Rococo Soup Tureen and Cover, Staffordshire or Yorkshire(140 views)
Description: The beautiful creamware tureen of bombe-form has large scroll shell handles with their moulded terminals swirling almost a quarter of the way back onto the body of the tureen. The central section with moulded reeding. The cover is decorated with long moulded shell-edged rims and surmounted with a large and well-defined finial of a flower bud, the terminal of leaves and a smaller flower bud. The tureen has a rich cream colour.
